Stem cell therapy for cardiovascular disease (CVD) aims to regenerate damaged heart muscle and tissue, potentially preventing heart failure after events like heart attacks, by transplanting cells or stimulating the heart’s own repair mechanisms to replace lost heart cells and improve function. Being able to image the effect of such a therapy, non-invasevely is a great break-through in therapy monitoring.
In BIOEMTECH we feel proud for having contributed to this exciting study, which was awareded the Best Oral Presentation during the 4th Athens Cardiovascular Symposium and having collaborated with such inspiring people. CVD preclinical models and preclinical imaging remain a steady force in our reseach and scientific projects. Warm congradulations to the whole scientific team and special thanks to Antonella Koutela!
