6th Annual BIOEMTECH Preclinical Workshop

6th Annual BIOEMTECH Preclinical Workshop

This week, we had the pleasure of hosting our Annual Preclinical Workshop in Athens for the sixth time!

Every year, the Workshop is an important milestone for us. It is an opportunity to open our laboratories to collaborators and friends, bringing together speakers and participants with different backgrounds, expertise and perspectives from across the radiopharmaceutical research community.

This year’s scientific programme featured 14 speakers, five thematic sessions and five panel discussions, bringing together perspectives from academia and industry. The sessions explored different stages of radiopharmaceutical development, from target biology and the design of robust preclinical RLT studies to translational planning, imaging and biodistribution, innovative targeting approaches, combination strategies and regulatory readiness for clinical development. For more details, visit our dedicated Workshop page.

Throughout the three days of presentations and discussions, our speakers shared their expertise, research findings and practical experiences, while the panel discussions encouraged open exchanges on the challenges and opportunities shaping the field. These conversations highlighted the importance of connecting different scientific disciplines and perspectives to support the development of radiopharmaceuticals and their translation towards clinical applications.

The Workshop also included a dedicated visit to BIOEMTECH’s laboratories, giving participants a closer look at our facilities, technologies and preclinical research workflows. This was an opportunity to connect the scientific discussions with practical applications and exchange ideas directly with our research team.

Once again, the laboratory visit, scientific presentations and discussions were truly engaging and inspiring. But beyond the scientific programme, we also put a lot of thought into the social events that bring everyone together in a more relaxed setting. One of the highlights of this year’s social programme was our visit to The Museum of Cycladic Art. After a private guided tour through the museum’s collections, we continued the evening with food, drinks and great company at the museum café.

We would like to sincerely thank all our speakers, participants and friends who joined us in Athens and contributed to another memorable edition of our Workshop. It is through their knowledge, enthusiasm and willingness to share experiences that this event continues to grow and evolve.

We look forward to continuing these conversations and welcoming the radiopharmaceutical community back to Athens next year!
